2. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
By participating in any Our Rooted Harmony offering, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily engaging in activities that may involve inherent risks. These activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Walking on uneven or natural terrain
- Exposure to weather, plants, insects, and wildlife
- Light physical activity, movement, or stillness practices
- Emotional experiences that may arise during reflective or mindful practices
You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participation.
3. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under California law, you agree to release, waive, and discharge Our Rooted Harmony, its owners, facilitators, and affiliates from any and all liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage arising out of or related to your participation.
4. California Civil Code Section 1542 Waiver
You expressly waive any rights under California Civil Code Section 1542, which states:
“A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in their favor at the time of executing the release…”
By agreeing to this, you acknowledge that you are waiving unknown or unforeseen claims.
5. Children’s Participation
For any child participating in Rooted Harmony programs (including “Little Sprouts”), a parent or legal guardian must:
- Provide consent for participation
- Acknowledge the inherent risks involved
- Accept full responsibility for the child’s well-being
- Disclose any relevant medical, behavioral, or support needs
Our Rooted Harmony is not responsible for supervising children beyond the scope of the program structure unless explicitly agreed upon.

Individual experiences will vary. Rooted Harmony does not guarantee specific emotional, physical, or personal outcomes from participation in any offering.
